On Thursday 20th June, our Corporate Fundraising Team were joined by friends from businesses from across the region, for an outdoor networking and team building event, hosted by Challenge Northumberland.
We tried our hands at archery, obstacle courses and the much anticipated water slide and managed to squeeze in opportunities to network – as well as enjoy some well-earned refreshments!
The St Oswald’s Hospice Fundraising Team got stuck in too, with Sonia, Jill, Kirsty, Danielle and Sophie trying their hand at the challenges – just don’t remind Jill about that waterslide!
Michelle Wilcox from the North East Chamber of Commerce said:
“It was great fun, something different, challenging, and I met some brilliant people. It was a memorable day!”
Danielle Berry from Valued added “It’s been fab, a good mix of people, great venue and location, It’s a way to get out of the office and really was a day of teamwork at it’s best. Everyone was spurring each other on and helping each other to complete the challenges.”

Our next networking event is a little more traditional and will take place here at the hospice in Gosforth on Friday 16th August.
