We’ve ‘pumpkin’ special to share…

A huge thank you goes to Lauren and Thomas from Oxford Farm Pumpkin Patch in Berwick upon Tweed for donating over 50 pumpkins to the hospice for children and families in our Children and Young Adults and Bereavement Support Service to enjoy.

Lauren and Thomas have been growing the pumpkin patch at their farm for 3 years, creating a place where everyone can enjoy the magic of Halloween.

The pair plant each seed by hand and select each pumpkin that they sell for as little as £1.

Lauren, who visited the hospice in October to donate the pumpkins, said: “We wanted to donate the pumpkins to us to make sure children and families could experience the fun of carving and decorating pumpkins, especially if they hadn’t been able to get a pumpkin of their own this year.”

Staff and children in our Children and Young Adults Service had a great time creating their Jack O’Lanterns in time for 31st October as did families from our Bereavement Support Service.

Thank you to Lauren, Thomas, and Oxford Farm Pumpkin Patch, for helping us carve out some fabulous fun this Halloween!
