“We’ve remained open during the craziness of the pandemic and continued to provide a safe and fun place for our children and young adults. I’m incredibly proud to be part of the team providing that care and support and everyone’s donations have meant so much to us.”
After taking part in the Blaydon Race Amanda McCleery, Children and Young Adults Physiotherapist was feeling inspired and signed up to run the Great North Run for St Oswald’s Hospice.

“After an injury and some health problems I started running again in March. The Blaydon Race was a test to see if I’d be up to the Great North Run and thankfully I felt ok afterwards, so signed up right away. As I work at the Hospice and see first-hand the care we provide I was keen to join Team St Oswald’s and raise money for us as every penny helps!”
We hope you’ve enjoyed reading all of our Children Hospice Week posts and meeting some of our staff, volunteers, children and young adults this week. If you’re also feeling inspired and you’d like to sign up for your Great North Run 2021 place for Team St Oswald’s before 21st of July you’ll pay just £21! We’ll send you a running vest and wristband to welcome you to the team, find out more here.
