St Oswald's Annual Christmas Market
It’s that time of year again where Christmas starts to creep around the corner. If you’re as excited as us then why not join us for our Annual Christmas Market on Saturday 24th November at the hospice from 11am-3pm.
We’ve got a jam packed day ready for the whole family to enjoy! We’ve put a call in and Santa will be taking some time out of his busy schedule to come to the markets with his elves to meet everyone. But that’s not all! What’s that noise I hear you say? It’s the alpacas of course! That’s right, this year our friends at Alpacas Encounters will be offering you the chance to walk an alpaca.
We also have visitors from Northumbria Police and Tyne & Wear Fire Service, Whitehouse Farm are coming along and bringing some special furry guests, Double Decker Den will be providing a fun, safe place for the children to place, Hartbeeps and Seven Stories will be performing throughout the day.
Our stalls will include handmade arts and crafts, children’s toys, Christmas gifts for the whole family and local food and drink. There will be a Santa’s Grotto with a gift for each child, carol singers to entertain the crowds and mulled wine to keep the thirst at bay.
Make sure to arrive on time to see guests from Make it Magical Entertainment to cut the big red ribbon to open the market.
Gosforth Junior High School has kindly let us use their car park which is situated over the road from our market entrance, for a small donation to the Hospice.
Laura Hargreaves, Fundraising Coordinator commented:
It’s my favourite time of the year, it’s great to get the whole family feeling festive and our Christmas Market is the perfect way to start the season. We’ve got so much entertainment and games this year for the children with the alpaca’s, Whitehouse Farm, the fire engine and police car, it’s going to be jam packed.
We rely on the generosity every year from our Christmas Market goers and we know this year it’s going to start the Christmas season off in style.
Our market will be held on Saturday 24th November 11am-3pm.
Tickets cost: £2 for Adults, £1 for Children & Under 5’s go free!
