Group challenges
We rely on the support of the local community to continue to offer our vital care services to local people who need us. Whether you're a community group, sports group or youth group looking to support St Oswald’s, there are lots of opportunities for you to get involved and we would love to have your support.
Popular ways to get involved
Visits and presentations
We can talk at a school assembly or local business about the work we do for the local community and how you can get involved.
Bag it!
Bag It is a great way for your school or business to go green for St Oswald's Hospice. By asking your students or colleagues to bring in one bag of quality used goods, we can re-sell the items in our charity shops and make on average £16.00 per bag.
Beanies and cuddly toys
We have beanies and cuddly toys available for local schools and businesses to sell on behalf of the hospice and help us raise the £7.5 million we need each year to continue our services.
Volunteering
We offer over 120 volunteering roles at our main Hospice site and in our charity shops across the North East. Volunteering with us is a great way to boost your CV and gain experience while giving something back to your local community.
