It’s your Autumn/Winter 2024 issue of Snapshot!

A chill in the air and leaves on the ground – we are well and truly into Autumn now!

As we move closer to the end of the year, we are delighted to be able to bring you a round up of the last few months at St Oswald’s Hospice, plus some things that are coming up that we are excited to tell you about.

It’s the time of the year when we launch Light up a Life, our annual celebration of remembrance, and in the newsletter, you’ll find a personal story from a lady who shares why Light Up a Life brings her comfort. You can also find out more about dedicating a light in memory of your loved one, as well as attending our memorial service in December.

In other news, we update you on the hospice’s new Strategy and how it will improve the care and services we provide to our community. There’s news about the progress of our Young Adults Accommodation build, and the fundraising appeal which you have generously supported to fit it out, as well as details of new sessions to support patients who use our Lymphoedema services.

There has been lots going on for our retail teams too, with new shops opening or moving to bigger premises, allowing us to sell even more of the fabulous stock you donate.
