Supporters of St Oswald's have managed to raise over £1,300 after completing the Mad March Mare obstacle course at Hexham Racecourse earlier in the year.
The Mad March Mare is an annual event which requires participants to take on a 10km course whilst tackling a selection of obstacles including; giant haystacks, the sheep dip and a mudslide.
Organised by Challenge Northumberland, the Mad March Mare took place at Hexham Racecourse on Saturday 4th March. St Oswald’s were one of two nominated charities to directly benefit from the event, and we had over 20 runners representing us. The current running total for St Oswald's is £1,300, which also includes donations received through online registrations and our tombola on the day of the event.
Danielle Callender, Community Fundraiser at St Oswald's said:
Challenge Northumberland have organised another superb event and we're thrilled with the reception we've had since the event took place. Without the fantastic support we have received from Challenge Northumberland, who selected us as one of their chosen charities, none of this would be possible. We're thrilled to have been involved in this event and look forward to working with Challenge Northumberland on many future challenges! A huge congratulations to our dedicated supporters for raising such a fab total!
