This week (21 December) we’ve been getting in to the festive spirit with a magical visit from the cast of James and the Giant Peach from Northern Stage.
James and a cast of giant insects performed songs from the show, as well as festive classics to the families we care for and our staff.
Carole Dixon, Children and Young Adults Service Manager at St Oswald’s, said: “We are delighted to have welcomed the cast of James and the Giant Peach in to St Oswald’s today, it’s made our afternoon. It was a lovely way to celebrate the festive season and get in to the spirit of Christmas with the children and young adults who we care for at the Hospice.”
Northern Stage Artistic Director Lorne Campbell said, “St Oswald’s is an important North East charity doing really brilliant work so it’s a great privilege to have the opportunity to create a little piece of Christmas magic at the hospice. We hope our visit will help to bring some festive cheer to these young people, their families and the hardworking staff and volunteers at the centre.”
