Mobile network operator and internet service provider EE has donated four tablets to the Hospice for use within our Children and Young Adults Service and Family Support Team. EE’s North East team hope that this is the beginning of further joined up working.
The donated tablets will be put to good use by the children, young adults and families using our services. We also hope to use them out and about in the community, for general awareness raising and fundraising activities.
Local EE Store Managers Megan Balloch and Ali Boyd presented the tablets to our staff and children using the service.
Carole Dixon, Children and Young Adult Services Manager, said: “Thank you to the EE team for donating the tablets, it’s great that the children and young adults we care for can now have access to the latest technology. I’m sure there will be many hours spent playing on games, and hopefully they can be put to some educational use too!”
Megan Balloch, Eldon Square Manager for EE, said “EE is keen to support local charities and recognises the brilliant work they do.
“St Oswald’s provides brilliant support to families and we would like to give this small gesture to recognise that.”
