Are you looking for a fun new way to promote good working relationships in your team? How about a low cost alternative to a team away day where you get to help St Oswald’s too? We can work with you to create something impactful and memorable, unique to you and your organisation and the best bit, free to you.
Volunteering brings a whole host of benefits for you and your team, such as developing new skills, building confidence, improving team working. And it will make a real difference to our patients, families and staff here at St Oswald’s.
‘Shop Take Over’ days have always been a popular team challenge, you and your colleagues literally ‘take over’ one of our charity shops for a whole day, in charge of everything from merchandising and customer service to marketing. You can make it interesting and pit one team against the other to see who can sell the highest priced item or attract the most custom.
We’ve recently welcomed a team from Newcastle Building Society who took to the streets for an ‘Out and About Day’ to raise awareness for our Lantern Walk event. They visited Team Valley to flier and put posters up to advertise the event and help us with recruitment.
Another option is to volunteer as an ambassador for external events and promotional days like the Pavel Cup, The Hoppings, The Lantern Walk and the Great North Run. To spread their word, we need enthusiastic people and companies have set their teams challenges targets and tasks to make things even more interesting. Or if your team are more creative types, why not get involved in making our hospice look festive ahead of our Christmas Market, and decorate our welcome tent at the Great North Run?
Whatever you are looking for, we have the volunteer opportunity for you and can tailor of offer for your colleagues. We love a challenge and we love our volunteers, so why not step out of the office and join OUR team!
