St Oswald’s own Sophie Adamson, shop manager at our Newcastle-based upcycled furniture boutique, Re-styled by St Oswald’s Hospice has crafted up a career milestone with a live TV appearance on shopping channel, Hochanda (Home of Crafts, Hobbies And Arts).
Last Thursday (15 June 2017), the 29-year-old made her TV debut co-presenting an hour-long demonstration of Everlong Superior Chalk Paint, showcasing her talents to viewers looking for interiors inspiration across SKY, Freeview, Freesat and online.
The episode, which sees Sophie divulge expert advice on getting the best from the paint using unique Re-styled pieces, can be viewed online until 13 September 2017 by clicking here.
Anyone interested in sampling the Everlong paint range and trying Sophie’s tips at home can choose from the wide range of colours available at Re-styled now. Shoppers can also buy the pieces ‘as seen on TV’ very soon.
Despite the Hochanda slot being Sophie’s first time on the big screen, she made quite an impression on the show’s presenter, Alex Turchyn, as well as the production team and her fellow demonstrators, with all commenting that she was a natural.
But Sophie is no stranger to sharing her upcycling secrets. Together with Re-styled’s assistant manager Sarah Finnemore, the artistic pair have developed and launched a series of interactive workshops, where members of the public and customers can try their hands at new crafts.
Held in-store, the creative classes offer something for all abilities, from beginners looking to learn to paint, to more advanced upcycling techniques such as upholstery.
