We were delighted to invite the North East England Chamber of Commerce to the Hospice on Thursday 16th February to help host their Coffee & Connections meeting. The event was attended by a number of senior figures from North East businesses and charities, some of whom were visiting us for the first time.
Sarah Gray from GPA Law attended the event, she said:
I’ve had family members who’ve been cared for at St Oswald’s, and as a local law firm, we are always keen to see how we can play an active role within the community by supporting local charities. Networking meetings are always a great chance to collaborate with other businesses and charities and to see what support we can offer. We’re very keen to build a long-term relationship with the Hospice and this event was a great introduction to the services they provide.
A guest from St Cuthbert’s Hospice, Kay Carrick, told us:
These events are always a great opportunity to get together, share ideas and knowledge and promote the work that our regional hospices do and how we can work to support each other, while also looking at ways in which businesses and charities can work together too.
Our Corporate Fundraising Manager Susan Jones, said:
We always relish any opportunity we can to showcase our Hospice and build long lasting relationships with businesses in order to mutually support each other, as without the support of local businesses we couldn’t continue to provide care to those who need it most.
Thank you to everyone who attended the event, we’ve received some brilliant feedback for future events. For more information about partnering with St Oswald's Hospice, please click here.
