We're very lucky to have hundreds of young people who spend their free time volunteering in our inpatient ward, our charity shops and with fundraising activities. They are invaluable to the Hospice, as they support us, both directly and indirectly, to improve the life of local people who need Hospice care.
Last week, St Oswald’s Hospice received an award from the High Sheriff in recognition of the work of our young people. An award evening was held by Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland on behalf of the Tyne and Wear High Sheriff. The High Sheriff of Tyne and Wear Awards reward young people for their positive contribution to our communities.
A huge thank you to all of our young volunteers. To find out more about volunteering with St Oswald’s visit stoswaldsuk.org/volunteering
