We’re thrilled to announce the support of Love Dunston Live, a brand new family-friendly music festival organised by Newcastle Legends, taking place at Dunston UTS Football Club on Saturday 12th May.
Music fans are in for a treat with Happy Mondays stars Bez and Rowetta topping the bill, supported by a wide range of local talent including The Wainstones, Molly McKay, DJ Dean Walton, Chloe Chadwick & Band, and Arya Sage.
Proceeds from the day are being split between St Oswald’s Hospice and FACT. The money raised will go towards the day-to-day running costs of the hospice and help support the work we do for patients with life-limiting conditions.
As well as the live music, festival-goers can also expect fairground rides, craft ale stands, games and stalls.
Steve Wraith, Managing Director of Newcastle Legends, said:
This is our first attempt at a family orientated music festival in Dunston, and we hope that it will be the first of many.
There will a variation of food outlets, a bar selling real ale, as well as fairground rides for the kids to play on.
We are delighted to be raising funds for St Oswald’s Hospice and FACT at this event and we hope that the people of Dunston come out in their numbers to support us.
Siobhan Sargeant, Business Partnerships Manager at St Oswald's said:
