Walton Robinson put on their running shoes to help us celebrate 30th Birthday.

Estate agency Walton Robinson are joining in with our 30th Birthday celebrations by running for St Oswald’s in the Great North Run with a huge team of 17!

Walton Robinson have set a fundraising target of £5,000 to help mark the occasion and business owner, Mark Walton, has also pledged to have his legs waxed for the first time if this target is hit.

Marketing Assistant at Walton Robinson, Anna Smith, 18 said:

“Our target is £5,000 and we are currently on £3,970 with just a couple of weeks before race day which is a fantastic effort from the team. With a generous grant from Rightmove we have been able to hold fundraising events in the office such as raffles and bake sales, as well as social media and mentioning it in the office to tenants and landlords. We want to raise as much money as we can for a brilliant charity.”

Fellow runner, Property Consultant Jessica Blake, 24 explains:

“It was great to go and visit St Oswald’s and see how important their work is. It will be worth the pain when we hit or exceed our target to help the Hospice continue their work with local people!”

Community Fundraiser at St Oswald’s, Helen Alderson, said:

“The Great North Run remains one of our biggest annual fundraising events and we’re thrilled to have a fantastic local business like Walton Robinson running for us this year.  The enthusiasm and effort that their team have shown has been inspiring and we can’t wait to cheer all 17 of them over the finish line on Sunday 11th.

“We rely on the support of our local community so that we can continue providing care to North East families and are proud to have such a large team representing us in our 30th Birthday year. If you would like to register your interest in running for us next year, please give us a call on 0191 246 9123. If the Great North Run isn’t for you, check out our Life List on our website www.stoswaldsuk.org/lifelist and see if any of our other challenges inspire you to support us.”
