Our new Ouseburn Donation Point is now open! 

We’re thrilled to announce that our very first dedicated donation point in Ouseburn is officially open!

Here’s everything you need to know about donating with us at our brand-new location. 

Where are you located?  

St Oswald’s Hospice, Ouse Street, Byker, NE1 2AG (in the former Dallas Carpets shop).

When are you open? 

You can drop off your good-quality, resalable items Monday to Saturday from 9:30am to 3pm (excluding bank holidays). 

What can I donate? 

We accept a wide range of items, including clothes, toys, homeware, books, and more! You can check out the full list of what we do and don’t accept here. 

Donating furniture? Contact our Free Collection Line and we’ll arrange for our team to collect it directly from your home and deliver it to one of our furniture shops. 

Is parking available? 

Yes! We offer free onsite parking for all donors, making it easy and convenient to stop by. 

Can I still donate at my local shop? 

Absolutely! While you can still donate at your local shop, we recommend calling ahead to make sure they have room for your items. Since our Ouseburn location has more storage space, we encourage you to bring your donations here if possible.  

Should I Gift Aid my donations? 

If you’re a UK taxpayer, we’d love for you to Gift Aid your donation of second-hand goods! Gift Aid boosts the value of your donated items by 25%—meaning your generosity goes even further to support the Hospice. Just ask a member of our team how to sign up when you drop off your items.  

What happens to my donations? 

Your donated items will be distributed to our shops, including eBay and any pop-up events. The funds raised help us provide expert and compassionate care to local people when they need it most. 

Do you have a shop in Ouseburn?  

There isn’t a shop at our retail hub in Ouseburn, but we do have ‘the space’ an events venue for pop-up shops, fundraisers, and more, located just next door which will be opening very soon!
