Bereavement Support Volunteer
Are you compassionate and a great listener? Are you someone who finds fulfilment in helping others navigate through difficult times? If so, we’d love to invite you to become a vital part of our team as a Bereavement Volunteer.
At St Oswald’s Hospice we understand the profound impact of loss and the journey of grief. We provide essential support to individuals and families who are coping with the loss of a loved one. But we can’t do it alone. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for volunteers who can provide support to people experiencing bereavement, helping them to explore their feelings and promoting healthy grief in a safe and supportive environment.
We are looking for a commitment of around 6 months to ensure that those we support are given consistency with their support needs.
Full training is provided and you must be able to complete a 5 week training programme on the following dates:
• Session 1 – Wednesday 22nd May 1.00pm – 5.00pm
• Session 2 – Wednesday 5th June 1.00pm – 5.00pm
• Session 3 – Wednesday 12th June 1.00pm – 5.00pm
• Session 4 – Wednesday 19th June 1.00pm – 5.00pm
• Session 5 – Wednesday 26th June 1.00pm – 5.00pm
