Promoting self-care

You said…Thank you for the information, exercise guidance and compression sleeves, it’s helped me to feel more confident about managing my lymphoedema.

We did…We passed your feedback on to our Lymphoedema Team who are always looking at new ways to motivate and support patients to self-care.

Video myth busting

You said… I was frightened about what a hospice would be like but then I watched your video about your day services.  After watching I was no longer fearful and now that I’m coming to St Oswald’s, I’m really happy that I made the right choice.

We did… Our Communications and Marketing Team is creating more engaging content online, particularly videos that dispel myths and break down barriers to our services.

New pricing stickers in our shops

You said… I buy many items from your shops, particularly CDs, books etc. Your barcode pricing stickers are a real pain though. Because of the high-tack stickiness of the label, upon removal some end up damaging the sleeve/case/box of items.

We did… After receiving this feedback we researched alternative stickers and trialled the use of a new lower-tack option. This proved successful and the new stickers have been rolled out to all of our shops across the North East.

Accommodating stay requests

You said… I cannot thank you enough for arranging a change of stay so that our relatives who live away could care for our children whilst you cared for our other child at the hospice. This has enabled me and my wife to have our first short break away.

We did… We passed your feedback on to our Children and Young Adults team, thank you! Our administrators go above and beyond to accommodate stays that are convenient to families.
