What is lymphoedema?
Lymphoedema is the severe swelling of the legs, arms, feet, hands, neck, and other areas
Principally caused by certain cancers and their treatment, lymphoedema is a chronic, progressive and life long condition.
Lymphoedema can be managed effectively by early diagnosis, referral and treatment.
A treatment programme comprises one or more of: compression bandaging and/or hosiery, skincare (simple lymphatic drainage), manual lymphatic drainage and exercise.
